Post .011 2016 Captain America

Here a sketch of Captain America I did in the last 3 days. I show from the Sketch to finle stage clean up in Photo Shop. This was a fun on to do an I'm happy the way this came out. I learned some new things on this one. I have two more Cap related sketch's I have been working on. I hope to finish one of them this weekend.

Post .010 2016 TMNT sketch cards

These all sketch's an sketch cards where done during break's at work the last two weeks. from June 10-17. I started with sketching the Krang on scarp paper an the same goes for Ralph. I like the how the sketch came out an thought I should be doing these on the Sketch Cards my buddy gave me. So I started with Donni, then Leo,Micky,Ralph,Shredder,Splinter. I had plans for doing a Casey Jones an April O sketch card, but things have picked up during work. Maybe when things slow down. Till my next post.

Did a Zorro sketch the past week. I was kind of going back to my heavy ink phase. I really like the artist Alex Toth an Jorge Zaffino. They booth really inspire me when it comes this type of art.

                   Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Donatello. I was able to finish coloring this sketch today. I think I'll be post some more color art soon.

Call down the tunder. Here a sketch of Thor with some dark clouds and some light an thunder. This was a sketch I started last year. I would ink some parts here an there. I just finished ink this today. The shingled armor was a pain. But I like the way it looks on the arm.

Here a colored sketch I'm not to happy  with. The drawing it self is not done great. Throw color's on it is kind of like polishing a turd. It was a experiment that I learned from.

I forgot to post this inked sketch of Donatello. I started this drawing last year an was half way inked before stopping. I found in my stuff an so I decided to finish the inks an post it. I kind of like the way this one came out. I did bolder outlines and kept the detail lines very thine. I think I might scan it an color it digitally its been awhile since I have colored anything in Photo Shop. Will see what happens. I hope to post more soon.

Here is where I was about half way inked, as you can see there was not much detail in the background to be honest  I was not sure what to do with the background. when it came time to ink, I just try to capture a dry bush look of a rocky cave background. I kind pull it off. I wish I would of took a pic of the pencil part. maybe next time. I drew this on a 6x6in Bristol tile paper. well I'll try to post some more art soon

I had the chance again to work on some cover art for the company I work for. I worked this art all digital in Photo Shop and Illustrator. The entire cover art is about 47.5" long by 12.5" high. The art wraps around about 4 fold out sheets I'm only showing the main cover. The them was a movie related so I drew an old school film crew. A simple movie crew, the only thing I don't like is the sound guy. He looks kind of a modern day sound guy. Over all it was fun to do and challenge to work digital only. A new experience an maybe a new skill learned also. Hope to post again soon.

Did a sketch of El Mariachi. I have been drawing stuff but nothing to post. Been work on something for my self. Still in the beginning phase. So I don't want to really show anything. Hope to post more soon.

First post 2016 .001

So I know it's been a long time since  I have posted anything on this Blog. so here are some stuff from 2015 and some new ones done this year in 2016

Here is a Young Thor Fighting Giants in the winter. I have plans to color this in water color this. So Look for updates for on this.

Here is something I have been doing as of late, I gotten a hold of few blank Sticker labels there about 51/2"in width x 61/2"in length. So I started out by drawing on them in black ink an evolved into what you see above.  Stared coloring in prisma then ink over after with a .08 micron out lining a thick sharpy maker. They have been real fun to do. So here is a Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, Thor Jame Foster, Super Girl.

Here is Dark Knight Frank Miller Above. An the Batman below is one of my first sticker done. I add the yellow Batman behind most recently.

Here a Batgirl for my youngest daughter. She had asked me to make her one when she some of my first one's. I did some thing different by cutting off the excess white around the drawing. I like the way it looks with out the extra white. But it was a real pain to cut tho.

So if I draw something for one child then I have to draw something for the other child. I did a Captain America.

Here is the Punisher an Black Widow. These where the second round of color stickers an I started adding a bit more detail compared to the first round of color stickers.

An Iron Man an Hulk. These where the some of the first color sticker done.

Here are the first Round of Colored Stickers, These are very simple and I used High lighters to color most of the except for the reds an black. So I did Captain America, Batman Beyond, and simple Batman, Spider-Man, HellBoy, Hob Goblin.

Here is something I was working for a friend podcast. It a Hockey Podcast. If you can tel this a hockey puck going threw the net. I think of adding a back ground of the crowd and the ice rink.

Here are a front an back cover to a story I worked on awhile ago. I tried to make the main Charterers of the story be the important part of the cover. I'm happy with it sort of. I can agree with people if the say the front is to busy with the leafs. I had the idea to add them but I might have gone over bored with them. It Been awhile but I was able to finish this Drawing an I scanned an colored it. April O'neil in her 80's yellow jumpsuit. I hope to do more post of female character's. so will see which female character I'll do next.

Here are some sketch's colored in water color. They where done for an art show I attend last weekend. I had a good time with friends and met some nice people and got great feed back on my work. It help to re kindle the firer under my butt to get to working on comic pages. So looking forward to seeing updates on those things in the next few months.
